No.7 Nail Polish

Hey girls, a nail polish post today! I had a couple of No.7 vouchers that needing using sooo, I picked up a couple of their nail polishes. The nail polishes retail at £7.50 each, but with the £5 off voucher, they are a steal at £2.50. In all honestly though, I would never spend the £7.50 (probably £5 at the most) on them and would much rather grab an Essie polish as I think the quality is a little better, but for £2.50 I think its amazing value and they have a fab range of colours. I picked up 'Snowflake' (such a cute name) and 'Pinky Pure'. Snowflake is a pure white and Pink Pure a bright baby pink. They are both very pretty colours and stood out to me straight away. I love having whites in my collection as there is so much you can do with them. These polishes did take a few coats to get to a completely opaque nail and they do brush on very sheer, but, that means these two could work perfectly together for a french manicure as well as a solid colour. I love the way these polishes look so glossy and they both look beautiful with a tan!

Have you tried  No.7 nail polishes? What colours do you love?

Glossybox July 2012

So I definitely feel like I have been neglecting my blog, and for that, i'm sorry! But with the gorgeous weather we've been having in the UK, I have been outside making the most of it and trying to get a tan! Anyhoo, it's that time of the month again when pretty pink boxes start appearing at the door. I received my July Glossybox today, and as always was super excited to see what was inside. I had read a few spoilers, so I knew what products were flying around this month and I knew exactly which one I wanted to get, although I wasn't particularly hopeful as my last few boxes haven't been fab.

So, I dived straight into the packaging only to find that the product I wanted was there, I literally let out a scream. The Hd Brows Palette was something I had already got in a previous box from last year. I had been using it everyday since and as you can see, had hit pan. I had been debating for ages on whether I would repurchase this, as I really only use the one colour and was just going to go back to using a Mac eyeshadow, but getting this in my Glossybox has left me without a brow worry for at least the next 6 months!

I was actually really happy with all the other products I got too- my next favourite being the Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Frosting in 'Irish Cream Pavlova' (such a cute name) which is a gorgeous pink cream gloss that can be used on both the lips and cheek.

I also got-

Monu Golden Glow, a gradual moisturising tan for the face and body. I'm really interested in giving this a go, as I love gradual tanners (Garnier Summer Body being my HG moisturising tanner) I am going to try this on my face tonight as I have started to get a bit of a body tan from this glorious weather, but like to keep my face protected when outside. This will hopefully help me match up perfectly!

Clynol Salon Exclusive Enrich Colour Shampoo- Can't wait to try this, I love shampoo's that give your hair a nice glossy shine like you have just come straight from a salon. It smells lovely too!

Lastly I got a couple of Elizabeth Arden goodies. I love all the 8 hour products, so I will be interested to see how these work for me. I got the Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion SPF 15 and a bonus product of sachet samples of other products from this line. (Which are all targeted at combination skin, perfect for me, so they must be starting to use our beauty profiles, yay!)

Overall I am super impressed with this box, I didn't have high hopes, as the last few boxes I have received have been very dissapointing, but I am left feeling super happy! I feel like this month Glossybox have really made a come back in my books, I just hope the standard is kept this high!

Did you get a Glossybox this month? What products did you get? Or are you subscribed to any other beauty boxes?

Mac Heavenly Creature Collection

Hey ladies! I don't know why, but when it comes to Mac limited edition collections, I am always that girl who leaves purchasing till the last minute then notices things starting to sell out, suddenly panics and darts to the shop to see if they have any left. (Well, not surprisingly, they didn't!) I then spend hours trawling the internet trying to find what i'm after on various websites, and this time, I came up trumps! Since I had seen Mac's Heavenly Creature Collection, I had been dying to get my hands on the ever popular 'Cut a Caper' lipstick, and when I had seen that Mac, Debenhams and House of Fraser (as well as my local counter) had sold out I was soo gutted. Luckily, I managed to pick one up on the Selfridges website from the low stock that they had left. I actually checked back moments later and it was out of stock! It was definitely one of those 'meant to be' moments!
Cut a Caper is the most perfect peachy pink colour, (something that I think Mac need to add more of to their permanent line!) and I am absolutely in love with it. I believe this is a re promote first released in 2010, and I had read that it was one of those sell out colours that everyone is dying to get their hands on. I'm really not surprised it's so popular, it is such a gorgeous, wearable colour and has definitely become one of my favourite lipsticks.

I also decided to get one of the Mineralize Skinfinish's as I am a sucker for how pretty these are. I got 'Center Of The Universe', a lovely coral with ripples of gold running through it. It is so beautiful and looks gorgeous used as a cheek or brow bone highlight, on the cheek as a blush, a tearduct colour, or all over the lids, it is definitely a very multi purpose product.

I am in love with this collection and I have my eye on a few other things that I may persuade myself to purchase before they sell out! Did you pick up anything from this collection?
